Our AI compatibility engine scores potential matches based on multiple factors: profile type preferences (who you're looking for), comfort levels (what you're open to), shared interests detected from your bio via natural language processing, mutual desires from Discover, proximity, and trust score. Matches that fail your dealbreakers are filtered out entirely. The result is a compatibility score from 0-100 with a full breakdown you can view by tapping any match.

Yes, absolutely. Your individual yes/maybe/no answers are never shown to anyone. The only thing that appears on match profiles is mutual matches — desires where you both answered yes or maybe. If you said yes to something and your match didn't, neither of you will ever know. This is fundamental to how Kindred protects your privacy.

The trust score (shown as a 🛡 shield badge) is a measure of how trustworthy and verified a member is. It starts at 50 and can go up through: email verification, photo verification, profile completeness, positive interactions, and peer vouches from other members. It decreases if a member receives reports for bad behavior. Think of it as the community's way of saying "this person is legit."

The "Add Friend" button appears in your chat with a match, but only after both of you have sent at least one message each. This ensures there's mutual interest before friending. Once you send a request, the other person will see it in their chat header and can accept or decline. Friends can see each other's online status.

Nice is your public-facing gallery — PG-rated photos that anyone can see. Think date-night outfits, travel pics, couple selfies. Naughty is for more intimate content that you control access to. Your profile photo (shown on matches and in chat) must always be PG-rated.

Every chat includes a Report button. If someone is harassing, rude, pushy, or violating boundaries, report them immediately. You can select a reason and provide details. Reports are taken seriously — verified violations result in account suspension or permanent termination. Kindred has zero tolerance for disrespectful behavior. Consent and respect are non-negotiable here.

Yes! Go to Edit Profile from your dashboard or the More menu. You can update your bio, preferences, comfort levels, dealbreakers, profile photo, and location anytime. Changes are reflected in your matches immediately — our AI re-analyzes your profile every time you save.

If you're part of a couple, you can link your accounts together. Once linked, the Discover feature reveals shared desires — things you both said yes to — privately between you and your partner. It's a great way to explore conversations about what you're both curious about without awkward guessing.
